This is a varied selection of Editorial work, done over a number of years. Images handled in different ways depending on what people wanted.
A selection of magazine covers.
Editorial - Cartoons
Here is a selection of work produced for magazines and newspapers, in a more cartoonish style. Many of these had to be produced to tight deadlines. Some were one off commissions, some were done for monthly columns, using the same characters.
This is a collection of artwork for fiction books. Intended for the educational market.
I've done many comic strips over the years. The artwork for most of them is now missing. I will be adding pages here when I get the time to find the artworks.
Info graphics are a popular way of communicating dry information in a more palatable way. I like to do different things, so these pages were interesting to do.
The size of these posters doesn't really come across on screen. They were made to be folded into educational magazines and were about A2 when folded out. I usually designed and drew further activities, instructions, and such on the reverse side of the posters. I designed all the activities and games as well.
Artwork produced for educational magazines. Always fun to work on. Lively and bright images usually preferred.
Educational Black & White
A surprising amount of artwork is still produced for print in black and white. Educational work is usually bold and cartoon style. Humor and graphic simplicity in images help engage younger age ranges.
This is a selection of drawings produced to be photocopied. They were part of educational resources to be used in classrooms. I have done about 30 of these books.
Occasionally I get to do a caricature, which is always fun. I will put some more examples up here when I find them!
I'm hoping to put some whimsical and silly sketchbook stuff here. Maybe some jokes?
